How to do it

We pour cold water over the pearl barley in the evening and leave it to swell, so it boils faster.

Pour pearl barley, potatoes, bay leaves, salt, pepper into a pot, fill with water and heat the soup to boil.

Melt the butter in a pan. Add the chopped carrots, garlic and onion. Fry until the vegetables are soft. Pour the contents of the pan into the pan.
